Product Details of Electronic Arts Crysis

Description

Earth, 2019. A team of U.S. scientists makes a frightening discovery on an island in the South China Sea. All contact with the team is lost when the North Korean government seals off the area. The U.S. responds by dispatching an elite team of Delta Force Operators to recon the situation. As tension rises between the two nations, a massive alien ship reveals itself in the middle of the island. The ship generates an immense force sphere that freezes a vast portion of the island and drastically alters the global weather system. The U.S. and North Korea must join forces to battle the alien menace. With hope rapidly fading, you must fight epic battles through tropical jungles, frozen landscapes and finally, into the heart of the alien ship itself for the ultimate Zero G showdown.

Not nearly as good as the hype

Strengths: Stunning visuals and attention to graphical detail

Weakness: In October 2008, hardware does not exist that can run everything maxed out at acceptable framerates - a year after release!!!!! In the end, a lot less fun than a lot of other games.

I can certainly understand the buzz surrounding this game; after all, it absolutely brings even the most tricked-out PCs to their knees, and still can't deliver the frame rates! I am not trying for the e-peen here as I describe my system - just to inform potential game buyers what to expect: I have a 790i Ultra SLI MoBo with an Intel QX9770 overclocked to 4GHz, and liquid-cooled; 8GB of memory @...

Crysis

Strengths: The best video graphics ever produced on the PC platform. Top notch sound and music.

Weakness: Sometimes alien AI is not as good as the Korean AI. Very high hardware requirements to fully appreciate what game has to offer. Game ended too soon.

From the game box artwork to the ending credits this game has been a pure joy to play. The intro which is a camera ride over the Nano suit from head to toe is one of the most brilliant and visually rewarding experiences I have witnessed in a long time. The Nano suit which is what makes you able to be stronger, faster, armored or like the alien in predator, almost completely invisible changes the...

Crysis

Strengths: Awesome everything!

Weakness: None.

We have waited for Crysis for quite a while and read all of the hype. I would like to say that this game, just like Bioshock, lived up to its hype. Beautiful environments, great artificial intelligence. Works with DX9 or DX10. Can be a system hog if you do not have a relatively newer computer with some power. If you are into these types of games (FPS), get Crysis!

Excellent game, if you have the cards to support it

Strengths: Superb graphics, somewhat scalable, very smooth gameplay, ability to drive vehicles, good multiplayer, different difficulties.

Weakness: Needs beefy graphics cards to look decent at playable framerates

This game is beautiful visually. It has intense graphics and is one of the games that people measure their graphics cards against. Only the most recent, top notch graphics cards can play this game well and to play it well at max settings you will need multiple cards or a Very expensive one. Gameplay is very smooth, provided your GFX solution can maintain the framerate. The special abilities are...

Crysisi in crisis

Strengths: Excellent story line. Cool game play

Weakness: Need to build a computer to handle the graphics.

Received this game as a present. Installed and have played for a couple of hours. Adjusted all setting to the lowest and the game was still lagging and a bit choppy. I have an amd 3200 system. If you would like to play this game, make sure you have a top notch system to enjoy all of the graphics.

One of the best FPS ever.

Strengths: It is beautiful in both DX9 and DX10 but, more detail in DX10.

Weakness: It will cripple even the fastest systems at high resolutions like 1920X1200 and 4aa. I had to bring it down to 2aa with that resolution for the sli 8800gt setup to render enough frames.

If you are really patient, it would be good to wait for the next generation of cards to come around but, who really would wait a whole 6 months (for the affordable, good-performing video cards to arrive).

Cysis PC Game Standard Edition

Strengths: Amazing Graphics, Innovative design of interface,

Weakness: system resource crippler.

I jumped on the buy at Circuit city when they dropped it 2 39.99. Just could not believe it was a game when I started playing it! The almost photo like quality of the rendering is unbelievable. Wish it isn't so hardware demanding. Just finished building a PC Q6600, MSI p6n diamond, WD 150GB raptor, EVGA ssc 8800GT, 3GB DDR; it still doesn't seem quite match up to the VERY high settings of the...

Decent Game

Strengths: Detailed graphics, realistic physics

Weakness: Multiplayer gameplay, unexpected crashes, relatively short in my opinion

Crysis, a stunningly beautiful game with jaw dropping graphics. A monster PC is needed to run this properly because it will laugh at any high end hardware you throw at it. The AI is relatively smart running away from grenades and taking cover when under fire. The storyline isn't as exciting as I thought it would be and the cliffhanger ending was disappointing. Overall its a decent game taking...

Outstanding!

Strengths: Awesome graphics; great gameplay

Weakness: Not necessarily a weakness, but it does require a powerful computer

If you liked Far Cry you are going to love Crysis. These are the best graphics you will find on a PC, though it takes a big honkin' computer to play this game the way it was meant to be played. This game has something for everyone. Like thief? Sneak around and avoid conflict in Crysis except where necessary. Like to run and gun? Rush straight into your challenges with guns blazing. Great action....

My PC's in Crysis!

Strengths: Looks good. Interesting combat and abilities.

Weakness: Run, Crysis, Run!

Crysis is a game that pushes what a PC can do. but it has some issues. first,. the story which has some nice twists, has some problems too. Then the game still has a few bugs. Spotty AI, graphical glitches, and other problems occasionally crop up. Also, it's very hard to get good framerates. I can hear the hamsters in my PC squealing for relief. In the end, is it a good game, yes. A great game,...

Crysis

German developer Crytek made a big splash with their previous title, Far Cry, which garnered a fair amount of critical acclaim and became somewhat of a cult classic. Now, they’ve once again set out to turn the PC world on its head with Crysis. After being announced in early 2006, Crysis quickly became a poster child for Microsoft’s latest API, DirectX 10, showcasing the gorgeous effects and...
